Receiving grant funding could help your business grow and prosper, but finding the right scheme can be time consuming and slow. Grants are only available for certain projects and will almost certainly impose demands & restrictions on your business including for instance targeted job creation.

Common business grants include training, innovation, relocation, and research. Other grants may be awarded for ‘State of the Art’ machinery, improving offices or starting a new business in an area that needs economic regeneration.

Grants will typically cover 20 to 50% of the total finance required for a project, so you will also have to invest your own time and money. Whether or not you qualify for a grant will depend on varying criteria – industry, location, purpose and outcomes, company size and the number of people you currently employ and how these numbers may increase as a result of receiving the grant.

Many of our clients also take advantage of training and consultancy schemes that offer practical support and advice. This may take the form of free or subsidised consultancy, access to equipment and resources, or employees seconded from another business for a set time period. One good example of such help is IT support and development.
